Wow, he's here! Gene was born at 2:30 on Friday 18 May, weighing 4.485 Kg and full of beans and posessing the correct number of fingers and toes. Madeleine is doing fine.
I'm posting this in an internet cafe on Smith st, and haven't eaten for a while, so this is a brief post to let you know that the blog is up and running.
If it seems that we are ignoring everyone, you are kind of right- no snub is intended, but with 150 people in the loop Mads and Gene need to focus a little on breastfeeding and recovering from the birth. We get until Tuesday to luxuriate in the support of the nurses and room service, so we plan to relax as much as possible and enjoy ourselves until then.
I'll post as many baby photos and stuff as soon as I can.
